Calvary Chapel Fairhope (CCF) was formed as a home Bible study on July 4, 1997. Since then, the church has grown and changed tremendously, but one thing that has remained over the years is a sense of God’s love and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Today the church has its own facilities on the east side of Fairhope and includes families and singles of all ages and from a wide range of religious backgrounds. In addition to verse-by-verse Bible teaching, CCF enjoys contemporary style worship and a number of ongoing ministries, including those for children.
Our supreme desire is to know Jesus and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. Although independent in government and operation, we fellowship with those churches associated with the Calvary Chapel movement born out of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa (www.calvarychapel.com).
CCF is a non-denominational church focused on the inerrancy of the Bible and expository teaching from Genesis to Revelation. We believe the Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God and that studying the Bible is essential to living the Christian life. Jesus said, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed” -- John 8:31 (NKJV). This is why at Calvary Chapel our worship services are focused on the teaching of the Word verse-by-verse. The apostle Paul said that he shared “the whole counsel of God” with those he preached to, and we want to follow in this example.
Of course, it is not enough to simply know God’s Word, but we also want to live it out. We believe this is only possible by the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of each believer and look for the love of God in our lives as the proof that we are followers of Jesus and filled with His Spirit. As He said, “By this, all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” -- John 13:35 (NKJV). |
